Here’s to Getting Older!

Today is my 26^th birthday. I am kind of sad to see my 25th year go – what a wonderful year! However, I am convinced that the late 20s will be my best years yet. So in honor of getting older, I have created a 30 before 30 list. (May also be referred to as the “Things I want to do before we have kids” list.;)

When I initially drafted this list, I wanted to be sure to set goals that were attainable, but not accessible. Things that would bring others joy, make me happy, teach me new skills, and accomplish some major personal challenges (Item #15—I’m looking at you).

Who knows what will happen in the next four years. Will I have children? Will we live in Raleigh? Will we still be living in an apartment, or will we have saved up for a home? What will my job be? I have no idea what life will bring us. But I do know I am going to have a lot of fun checking off this list. :)

Here are a few of my favorites:

#3 Leave a $200 tip at a diner for a well-deserving waitress.

#7 Write a children’s book.

#11 Take an international trip.

#16 Get a dog and name him Chauncey.

#22 Sew curtains

#28 Learn to rap an entire song.
