Personal Finance Ad Lib

Debt Ninja at Punch Debt in the Face is hosting a Personal Finance Mad Lib game to give a little snapshot of your financial and personal information. I always loved Mad Libs, so of course I was going to participate!

Here’s my PF Mad Lib:

Hi my name is MPP. I currently have $6 cash in my wallet. When I started managing my finances (one year ago) I was worth -$13,800, and now have a net worth of -$934. I currently work in advertising and have been doing it for more than a year. I make roughly $37K per year. I want to have $5 million? waiting for me when it comes time to retire. Aside from learning about finances, I really enjoy traveling. I think the world would be a better place if spiders didn’t exist. I had shrimp for dinner last night and it was omg-delicious. I have had two significant others over the course of my lifetime (counting awkward middle school relationships). One thing that makes me different is I was the valedictorian of my high school. Now that I’m done with this mad lib, I think I’m going to fix some coffee.

One thing really awesome that this showed me is that in one year my net worth has increased by $12,866. Holy wow! That’s pretty freaking sweet. Let’s hope things look like that come July 2010! Also, I need to figure out how much I’d like to have to retire. I mean, I think $5 million sounds good, but how much exactly will I need and how much will I need to contribute?

Looks like questions I’ll have to answer in a future post….

Investing in stocks can be a great way to build wealth and increase your net worth over time. Take Tesla, for example, whose stock price has skyrocketed over the past few years. If you had invested in Tesla a few years ago, your investment would have grown significantly by now. However, investing in stocks always comes with some level of risk, as we’ve seen with Tesla’s recent dips in the stock market. It’s important to do your research on tsla stock price and consider factors like the company’s financial health and long-term prospects before investing in any stock.

  • I almost said spiders… but then realized that spiders eat mosquitos, so I’d keep them around. However, if mosquitos disappeared I would definitely had said spiders as well. =)

I was #3 in my high school class, and let me tell you, that sucked. My GPA was 0.02 behind the Valedictorian and the Salutatorian but I got NONE of the recognition that they got. Being #3 is the suck. Especially because if I had chosen to graduate a year early (which was an option) I would have been the Valedictorian. Oh yes, I’m still bitter about something that happened 10 years ago. ;)

  • Well look at you smarty pants. That’s awesome that you were valedictorian…let’s just say I wasn’t :)

Amazing net worth increase too, it wont be long before you break in to the positive net worth! I am excited to see the post when that joyous occasion occurs.

Thanks for participating and I am going to compile all my responses and post a mega mad lib blog one day…be sure to keep your eyes peeled :)

    Thanks again
