Almost every sunny evening in the last month, I have taken a bike ride. Sometimes I ride it to the store, other times I’ll ride through my quaint spring neighborhood of old houses. I’m not brave enough to hit the busy streets yet, so I usually meander on back roads. (I know, I’m a wimp, but DC drivers are crazy!) There’s just something about a leisure bike ride that makes me feel free and at peace. It’s also so nice to have a grocery store within a half-mile from my home. Can you imagine how amazing it would be if you could bike to work? You’d save so much on gasoline. I’d love that!
How many of you own a bike? How many use a bike for a majority of their transportation?

PS: There are a few little technical difficulties on the site today, so bear with me as I try to fix them. :) Thanks!

I do!!! I love my bike….but don’t ride it often enough. My neighborhood is not very bike-friendly, so it kind of scares me to ride. But whenever I do get my bike out, I love it! And yeah…it would be awesome to be able to bike to work. :(
I love biking too! I mostly bike in the summer and fall because I’m not crazy enough to do it in the winter on the snow/ice, although some people around here are! I really love the new blogpage, it looks great
I don’t know how to ride a bike (I grew up in DC in a generally unsafe area). So I decided at 23, 2010 is the year I am learning to ride a bike. My boyfriend is going to help me build one at the free bike center and teach me how to ride it. I am excited to be a bike rider!
I have a bicycle but a don’t ever ride it – my mom only let me ride it around our cul-de-sac as a kid, and now I’m scared! :P
Love the new site, it’s beautiful!
I broke my bike by trying to hop over a curb. Need to replace the back rim that got all bent up. But I have the advantage of working from home, so I don’t need a car OR a bike!
