In effort to take charge of my lack-luster, sloppy workout behavior as of late, I created a plan to get in serious bridal shape! I shall call it Bridal Bootcamp…
I created a chart for the next six weeks and hung it behind my door to track all of the activity I do. My goal for the beginning is to simply show up and do something, even if it’s just running for 10 minutes. However I would like to get into a weekly pattern to:
- Run 3 times a week at 2 to 3 miles each time
- Practice Yoga 3 times a week using the Biggest Loser’s Yoga Workout video — it’s part yoga, part strength training and 100% kick-my-butt, want an easier form of yoga? check this website.
- Do Crunches & Push-Ups: I’d love to be able to do 100 crunches and 100 push-ups in a day, but that may be waaay down the road
This is the first six weeks that will continue until Thanksgiving. After that, I will have three more set of six-weeks until the week of my WEDDING! So crazy! It sounds intense, but I plan to take just one day at a time and post my progress as I go along. I am sure it won’t be easy, but I am thankful to have a whole wall to keep me motivated. :)
There’s so much going on during your wedding that you don’t want to miss. The engagement, the invitations, the reception, and the vows themselves—to preserve those memories as they happened or share them with others, video is a must and for the best editing services you can check www.tracyalchayeb.com.
Anyone else want to join me in the next six weeks? You can modify the plan to fit your goals, but I’d love an accountability partner. Here’s to getting into serious shape before the holidays!

Hey! I’d love to join you! My goal is to work out for 30 mins 3-4 times a week. I do the Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred (even though I keep having to go back to level 1 because I’ll skip a few days). I’d really love to stay motivated and lose these last couple of inches that I’ve gained this summer!
I love your motivational drawings. This is a really good idea it is so visual and large, hard to ignore. Good Luck!
ooo i LOVE this! Unfortunately, I’m one of those peopel who doesn’t work out unless they go to the gym, and since I don’t have a gym membership yet, I’m sort of just packing on the pounds…that tends to happen during the holidays.
I’d love to join you! In a very similar situation and absolutely dreading the holiday season and long winter that is between now and the big day.
I LOVE your drawings! And omg I’ve tried that biggest loser tape before! DEATH! haha but good for you! It’s challenging!
I’ve been trying to get into the swing of things myself, I bought a goodlife membership and have only been going once a week, which is crap. I seriously need to get my butt in gear.
P.S have you ever seen “bulging brides” (its a tv show, not an insult! lol) maybe you need tommy europe. it doesnt hurt that he’s damn sexy while he’s yelling at you.
I would love to join you! My current goal is to make it to the gym 5 times a week. And if I don’t make it for some reason, I want to work out at home with the 30 Day Shred! I am meeting my entire family for Christmas and I would to love some pounds before that! :-)
I recently started the P90X program only two weeks ago and let me tell you, it’s kicking my butt! The program six days a week, three focused on improving strength, two are cardio, and one day of yoga.
I wish you well on your wedding exercise program and know that I will be working hard right along side you to shed my extra pounds ;-). If you stick to it, it should get you in really good shape!
Love the drawings and the whole idea! I’d love to join you! My goal is five days of activity a week. :)
I totallly know you can do 100 push-ups! I take a group personal training class 2 days a week and we do a lot of push-ups. Sometimes easily 100-150 in 1 one hr class! If I can do it, you definitely do it!
I love the motivational chart too! It’s so much easier to stick with it when the goal is starring you in the face.
good luck!
I’m in! BF and I have started eating better in hopes that we can lose a few (or a lot of) LBs by the end of the year! Here is to a smaller waist line!
Awesome! Good luck!
If nothing else, seeing your progress (or lack thereof in some cases–I’m having that problem) keeps you motivated and honest.
This is the best! Good luck with your workouts!!!
Have been following your blog for a few weeks now. It seems your personal finance goals AND you fitness golas are in sync with mine. Count me in. I just made my charts.
Haha this is so cute/awesome!!!
I really like your calendars! It’s a visible way to give yourself credit for doing something. Plus, now you’ll be more compelled to do the exercise so you can check it off! Or at least, that’s what I would do….looks like I need to make some calendars for myself!
I’m so doing the chart thing. That’s a great idea!
I LOVE the calendar idea. I’m very visual, so I’m surprised I’ve never tried something like that myself! lol. I’ll definitely be borrowing that, with a different variation, of course. I thought the drawings were cute too, lol.
