My first week of Bridal Bootcamp

Here is my progress from my first week on Bridal Bootcamp:

Not perfect, but like I said before I wasn’t going for perfect–just “showing up” and making any effort is good enough for the first week. A little clarification for the Yoga row: I use Biggest Loser’s Yoga video which has three different levels: 1. Flexibility Yoga, 2. Abs Yoga, 3. Weights Yoga. I will make sure to specify a little clearer on future charts.

Thoughts from Week One:
1. I really need to increase my cardio, BUT this past week was one of the busiest, hardest weeks working late almost every evening. So I’m ok with my pathetic 2.5 week total. And that also explains my zero-activity Friday.

2. I need to buy new workout clothes. Or do laundry more often. You may be thinking it would just be cheaper to do laundry, but I have so few running-outside-in-autumn clothes that I think I’d pay more in water and electricity doing my laundry more. Target, here I come!

3. I eat better when I also workout and am more conscious of my body during the day. (Exception: That delectable cheesecake in my fridge.)

4. On days that I get home after a long day of work with no activity, I will at least do push ups and crunches before I go to bed so I have something on the chart (see Thursday… I did those crunches and push-ups in between commercial breaks!).

What about you? How did you do this week?
I know some of you commented that you were going to join me, so post your results or comment below on your progress!

  • I actually managed to lose a couple of pounds this week, it must be the stress running up to the Wedding. Or maybe it was the 50 hour week i worked last week, anyway it looks as if i might be able to squeeze into my Mother-of-the-Bride dress after all.

  • @Maureen: That is awesome! Yeah, unfortunately busy workdays will do that for you. Last week I actually forgot to eat lunch until 3:00. I don’t think that’s EVER happened to me!

  • My 2 goals was to get to the gym 5 days a week and to eat within my calorie limit. I am happy to say that I went to the gym for 5 days a week and ate within 1500 calories on all days except Saturday when we went out for dinner. So I am considering last week a success!

  • My ‘workout’ week went pretty much as I planned. Because I’m out of the house for 13 hours a day (commute to work, work, and commute home) It doesn’t leave me much time to do an insane amount of exercizing. But I took my boyfriend’s dogs for walks both in the morning and a night for 15-20 minutes at a time and i’ve also been eating healthier (making food at home for lunch and dinner, not opting for take-out!). I think I may have lost a few pounds, but haven’t actually stepped on the scale. But my pants are fitting looser! so I’d take that as a good sign!
