1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on honeymoon clothes, about $100. I spent about $40 in Old Navy stocking up on sundresses and tank tops, then Victoria Secret for some lingerie, and H&M for some cute summer tops. In four weeks I’ll be waking up to a Mexican paradise!
2. Today I feel complacent towards money. My mind is just on the wedding: the little expenses (like a mani/pedi, snacks for the day), the big expenses (like, oh, the $3,000 we still owe vendors), and my daily budget that I try to stay under in order to remain debt-free. I wonder what it will be like when we don’t have $800 a month going towards a wedding? How amazing will that be!
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was day light’s saving time! I am one of the few people who loves losing an hour. I absolutely love when it stays sunnier, longer!
4. I will consider this week a success if I... hmm, where to start? If I get the programs printed, figure out the guestbook situation, order bridal portraits, email a long list of people, and go for a run three times this week.
5. My ancestors are Irish (woohoo for St. Patrick’s day!), Scottish, French, and Native American. In fact, probably my one claim to fame is that Pocohontas was ancestor.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week! :)

oh Mexican Paradise sounds wonderful!!! You have a busy week planned good luck!!
I’ll have my answers up this afternoon.
Having more daylight is always great! A nice side effect of the time change is that if you have kids, they sleep in an hour later, if you don’t wake them up.
I’m all for daylight saving time, I just wish it wasn’t so hard to adjust to.
Crap.
I totally forgot about daylight savings time. Hopefully my husband didn’t when he left for work this morning. :p
Anyhoo- $100 on honeymoon clothes is awesome. I think at our wedding I spent just under that for a BCBG top I wore to the rehearsal dinner.. so you’re doing better than I did!
I love having more daylight in the evenings after work to walk my dog and get some sun . . . I hate the winter months when I go to work and leave the office in total darkness.
Posted mine on my blog.
Daylight Savings means that I can get home when it is still light!
But .. the hours of light stay the same! Mornings are dark later again!
Monday again! ahhhh!!! so not ready! ;)
I do like that it stays lighter longer with day light savings, but I hate having to wake up in the dark again. Come on summer!
It is totally cool about the vendors. Don’t feel bad. There are certain things that only come once in a life time. I think that you are doing all you can to keep up with it and that is what is important. Nice Post.
I’m a little late, but I just found your blog! Good luck with the wedding plans, and enjoy it! I know it may seem stressful, but it’s only for one day!
