Weekly Money Check-Up: 4/9

WMC 4.9

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on rent, cell phone and groceries. The first week of the month is the most expensive!

2. Today I am thankful for my wonderful husband. :)

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was leave work early on Friday. Woot!

4. I will consider this week a success if I start a new book — any recommendations? I’m looking for a can’t-put-it-down read.

5. This Easter I had dinner with J’s family Saturday night, went to church, and had lunch with my family and stayed in Greensboro to celebrate our one-year anniversary.

  • “Fifty Shades of Grey”. This book isn’t typically my thing, but I could not put it down.

  • I just finished “Blood, Bones & Butter” by Gabrielle Hamilton and loved it. I think I’m going to get the audio version so I can listen to Gabrielle tell her story!
