Happy Thursday! I saw this on a few blogs (I think Tiny Twig started it?) but thought it was a nice way to share a few snippets of thoughts in a post.
I’m currently…
Watching… The Americans. It’s a new show about Russian spies in the 1980s. I find it hard to root for members of the KGB, but it’s fascinating to think about what happened in this country not too long ago. I admit, I’m a little rusty on my recent history. I know a lot of history before 1960s, but our generation wasn’t taught much about what happened after that. Or maybe that’s just me?
Enjoying… the time change. I have gone for a run every evening this week and it’s still light when I come home. Hallelujah! Spring is coming!
Planning… weekend getaways. After a quiet winter, my spring and summer weekends are filling up!
Excited for… my sisters and brother in-law to visit this weekend. They haven’t been here since we moved in August, which doesn’t really count because this place was a disaster zone.
Cooking… Asian food. I’ve made hibacchi chicken, broccoli chicken and lettuce wraps in the last few weeks. Yum!
Pinning… Easter-inspired crafts.
Inspired by… this book. I read it over the weekend and have been thinking over it constantly in the last few days.
Remembering… to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Eph 3:18
I love The Americans. I think many people in our generation don’t know much about 80s-90s History because our textbooks were way too old. It wasn’t until High School that I learned that the USSR wasn’t just another name for Russia. All of the maps in my school were just that old.
The Americans sounds like an interesting show, I like when a tv show has a certain historic angle!
I am LOVING the time change too!
Yes, I agree completely. I know very little about the history of my time, including current events. There is just so much more information out there thanks to the web I normally ignore it all.
I know, isn’t it the best? :)
Yeah, it’s really interesting, and well-done. Hard to find in shows these days.
