Seasons greetings my friends! It is officially December!
You may notice a different look on this site. I was getting a little tired of the old blog theme, so here is a new look for a new season. You may see some more changes rolling out in the next few weeks as I tweak this blog. (Also, for those curious, I used BluChic to update my theme, and until midnight today they are offering 40% off all their themes. So far everything has been SUPER easy and they have a lot of flexibility.)
On to December! Wow. I know I say this every month, but doesn’t it feel like we just started 2013?! This month will be jam-packed with events and parties and to-dos the first few weeks, and then hopefully delightfully quiet the remainder of the month in reflection and rest.
December Goals:
- Walk or run a mile every day (see more about my Mile a Day challenge)
- Do at least 10 random acts of kindness for neighbors, friends and strangers
- Go see Handel’s Messiah and the Nutcracker
- Wrap all of my gifts by December 20th
- Read through The Meaning is in the Waiting advent book
- Finish a holiday puzzle
- Watch all my favorite holiday movies – It’s a Wonderful Life, The Holiday, White Christmas, Elf, and Home Alone (I’ve already watched those last two!).
- Thoughtfully prepare for the new year, creating goals for finance, giving and personal enrichment/challenges
- Wrap up all work by December 23rd and take a real break from Christmas to New Years, including blogging and checking personal email
What are your goals this month?
PS – Check out my December goals from 2012, 2011, 2010, and 2009. Can’t believe I’ve been making monthly goals for the last five years!
Loving your mile-a-day challenge! So good.
I love your goal posts! I found them a few months back and you inspired me to create my own goals posts for the last two months :) good luck with your goals for the month!
Wow – 5 years in a row?! Kudos for that! And I guess I should have put “make 2014 goals” on this month’s goal list too – didn’t think about that! But there’s always january. :) Some of my goals are exercising and following Advent, too. Oh, and Elf is one of our favorite Christmas movies. :)
Thanks! Feel free to join. :)
That’s awesome! I just checked out your goals and saw you were thinking about doing the Project Life scrapbook. I’d love to know what you think about it if you start it! I’ve thought of doing that but didn’t know if I’d have the time or energy for it. :)
Sometimes I don’t like making yearly goals until a few weeks into January. You gotta relax after the craziness of the holiday! Enjoy watching Elf this season! :)
I’ll definitely be posting about it! My main concern is being able to get pictures printed. Maye I’ll get a new printer on sale after christmas to make it easier and a little cheaper. I meant to do something Project Life-eqsue this year, but never got around to it :( Yet I do have all the photos printed that I’ve taken this year…
