I love making fun playlists. So when I was in charge of the music for the baby shower this past weekend, I decided to make the baby shower playlist central to the word baby. If “baby” was in the title or it could relate to a baby (see Party All Night, Oh Boy!), it was added.
If you are hosting or throwing a baby shower for a friend, feel free to make your own playlist using these songs. The mix included upbeat oldies, soul or indie songs. But I did throw a little Bieber and Britney Spears just to see if people were paying attention. It sure gets a giggle when the mother-to-be opens a gifts of onesies and pacifiers and Ice Ice Baby is playing in the background. Also, don’t forget to bring gifts! You can look for nappy cakes next day delivery for convenience if you don’t have enough time to prepare.
This baby shower playlist include songs that are more suited for a younger, fun crowd, and less for a formal baby shower. This playlist also would be great to play at a baby sprinkle (a party thrown after the baby is born), or to use at a gender reveal party. In fact, I had a friend who announced whether they were having a boy by playing “The Boys are Back in Town” — there are so many fun ways you can use it.
Listen to the whole baby shower playlist on spotify. Have fun hosting your baby shower!
What other songs would you add?
