To piggyback on yesterday’s post, after we got Leia we didn’t know whether we should invest the money in dog training or not. She was overall a pretty good dog, but since J and I had never owned a dog as the “master” before, we decided to sign up for a six-week training session at our nearby Pet Smart.
The majority of the training was more for us than it was for her. We learned how to command obedience and gain respect. By the end of the six weeks she was able to sit, shake, lay down, stay, and come when you call. All ordinary dog stuff, but I don’t know if we would have been as successful had we tried it on our own.
Leia is a fairly obedient young lady…good job you two!
