Location: We stayed at the London House Hotel, in Kensington Gardens Square, just northwest of Hyde Park. We really liked the location. It was quieter and more residential part of the city, but just a short walk to Notting Hill where there were a lot of restaurants and shops. The closest Tube station is Bayswater, but also pretty close to Notting Hill Gate and Queensbury stations.
Price: For three nights it cost $392 or $130 a night (which was reimbursed by credit card points — more on that soon!). I am no expert on London hospitality, but of all of the places we looked — both traditional hotels, hostels and Airbnb-type places — this was by far the nicest for the price and it has a beautiful entrance.
Room: The room and bathroom were clean and nice, but TINY. I have no photos of the room itself, unfortunately, although I did take a few videos. If we were staying longer than three nights it may start to get a little too cramped, but when you’re on the go touring all day, we didn’t mind the small space.
Overall thoughts: The whole place felt very safe and clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They also recommended some great places to eat nearby and in London.
Here are a few more pictures I took on the day we were checking out:
