Life has been a bit of a blur lately. I turned 29 years old on Monday, so it’s a new year. For me, and for you too, as September is “the other new year” and we pick up the routine and busyness of life we left off in May. I was on vacation in Florida last week.

TGIF Link Love / 2.
Happy Friday! I love four-day weeks, but sometimes they turn into five days worth of work jam-packed into four days, you know? At least that’s how this week felt — it was a whirlwind! But the week is over and soon I will be off for a whole week! I am going to Disney World with my in-laws

Seven weeks ago J and I agreed to participate in a summer weight loss challenge — a friendly competition to see who can lose the most weight by September 2nd. And y’all the stakes are high. We are halfway through the competition, so I thought I’d give a little mid-summer update on how we’re faring. Here

An Open Letter to Hollywood: Bring Back Quality Chick Flicks
Dear Hollywood, I have an important issue to discuss with you: gender equality in the cinematic experience. It has been years since you have produced a timeless, quality chick flick. I can count on one hand the “girly” movies I have enjoyed in the last few years, and most of them are lackluster compared to the ones
